What do we offer in this store Q. What products do we sell? A. We sell disk and tape storage, with a brand focus on EMC, Clariion, StorageTek, ADIC, and Quantum. We also sell metro optical networking equipment, with a brand focus on Nortel. In our Yahoo! store, we have listed metro networking equipment with original purchase value of nearly US$4,000,000. Q. How do we identify the right product solution? A. Your requirements are always foremost in every system we design. If a customer's decision is based on cost, we will find some combination of robust, well-known products whose functions meet the requirements but whose cost is minimum. If a customer's decision is based on performance or scalability, we know exactly which products perform well, and we identify those products in the solution. If a customer's decision is based on finding the best supported product, we identify the vendor, or third-party service organization, whose support meets the specific service objectives. We can meet these objectives while still delivering products at phenomenally low prices. Q. Why are our products so inexpensive? A. Many of our items are surplus inventories purchased from bankruptcies or surplus corporate inventories. Some items are off-lease, or OEM variants of equipment. Considering such alternative sourcing allows us to offer limited quantities of items at extremely attractive prices. Q. Can we support these products? A. Because we are specialists in the products we carry, we can either provide support directly, or we help you obtain support from the primary vendor, on most of these products, and we are very well versed in the vendors' support policies and pricing. Q. Do we also buy products? A. We buy tape mid size and larger tape libraries that utilize SuperDLT, LTO, 9840, 9940, and AIT2/AIT3 technology on an ongoing basis. We buy Nortel Optera inventories with part numbers beginning NTN4 and NT0H on an ongoing basis. Order Payment, Shipment, and Cancellation Policy Order is subject to prior sale. In event equipment has been sold to another customer, customer's pre-payment will be returned in full. In case of an international shipment, customer is fully responsible for all taxes and duties on imported items. Customer acknowledges that U.S. Computer Hardware cannot calculate these costs in advance of shipment, and therefore customer should negotiate the amount of such charges with the corresponding customs authorities. Such charges will be paid either to customs agencies or to our shipper's representative in the destination country. Payment outside of the U.S. or Canada must be made by wire transfer, or by a method mutually agreeable between U.S. Computer and the customer. Any payment by credit card for an amount exceeding $500 USD requires that the buying company authenticate itself before attempting the purchase through Yahoo. U.S. Computer reserves the right to reject any order in which the buyer's information cannot be authenticated. In case of shipment within continental United States, we ship most of the ordered items within next 2 business days after the order is paid in full. Some items, like tape libraries, require testing or configuration before shipment, and customer should contact us before the order is placed to negotiate the actual delivery time. Larger items often require special logistics and terms and conditions, so please contact us with your questions and concerns in advance of placing an order. We always make our best effort to ship the purchased items as quickly as possible. If you decide to cancel your order, please call us as soon as possible! Orders can be cancelled by phone only. If an order is cancelled on the day of shipment after 1:00 PM (Pacific Time), the customer remains responsible for the shipment and handling charges. Warranty and Refund Policy Used products are protected by our 90 day warranty and are warranted to be in good working condition on arrival. If a defective part is found, U.S. Computer Hardware will have the choice to replace it with a working part, or to return customer's money upon return of the product in the same condition it was shipped. New products purchased from distribution are covered by manufacturer warranty when applicable. Contact the manufacturer for details on warranty. We do not provide any other warranty, expressed or implied.
